Bryan Williams is an mathematician working in automated image analysis; processing and diagnostics at the Centre for Research in Image Analysis in the Department of Eye and Vision Science at the University of Liverpool. His research involves developing techniques for the automatic enhancement; reconstruction and segmentation of biomedical images; particularly in ocular imaging. He has a strong interest in outreach with children and patients.
He has worked on a range of projects including enhancement for diabetic screening; diagnostic techniques for the leading causes of vision loss; and development of medical imaging devices.
