Eddie Meehan (DCCH) and Jordan Poole (University of Liverpool) will jointly run a workshop onWednesday 2nd July on low-cost multi-spectral imaging of cultural heritage artefacts. Ourworkshop uses case studies from collections to demonstrate how we deployed multi-spectralimaging technology on a budget of less than £1,000. We will show attendees how we modifieda commonly-available mirrorless RGB camera on a budget, and will then demonstrate theworkflow in action, processing, analysing and interpreting MSI data. Following the workshop, attendees will have access to a budget and supplier information, alongside guides onprocessing and interpreting data. We will also discuss how data of this kind can be widelyshared, referring to the University of Leeds’s Digital Library Infrastructure Project (DLIP) andtheir use of IIIF as a case study.
