Working with and Managing Sensitive Research Data Workshop

We're excited to announce that the first workshop for the Research Data Stewards Network is now open for registration.

This is a FREE one-day workshop which will take place online on Thursday, 23rd October, between 10:00 - 15:40.

Sensitive data is a term that encompasses multiple meanings, including personal data, special category data, commercial-in-confidence data, and biological species data. The workshop will include speakers with a range of experiences of different data types (qualitative and quantitative), sharing best practices and guidance around topics such as compliance, anonymisation, and can sensitive data be open?

The presentations cover a wide range of topics and are provided by

  • John Sanderson - Deputy Director of the UK Data Service
  • Saskia Lawson-Tovey - Research Fellow/Data Steward, Manchester
  • Luke Thompson - Head of Data Protection & Legal Services, Sheffield
  • Zosia Beckles - Research Information Analyst, Bristol
  • Laurisa Sastoque Pabon - Digital Preservation Training Officer, Southampton
