The UoM UK Biobank User Group would like to invite you to attend and submit lightning talk/poster abstracts for the upcoming “UK Biobank at UoM—Showcase” event, which will be held in University Place 5.206 on Thursday, January 30th, 2025, from 12 pm to 4 pm.

The event will feature lightning talks, posters, networking sessions and keynotes from researchers from across the University, industry professionals from UK Biobank (who are moving next to the University campus in 2026), and an introduction to the new UoM UK Biobank steering committee. See the event page for full details.

It’s a great opportunity to build interdisciplinary collaborations with people you might not normally meet, present your research, learn more about the UK Biobank, and get a taste of discovering what will be on your doorstep in 2026!

    Abstract Submission and Registration
All participants must register for the event.
If you would like to submit a lightning talk or poster abstract, please complete this form as well as registering for the event.-
Abstract deadline - 12th of December at 11:59pm.
Lightning talks (if you sign up to present one) will be chosen based on quality and diversity of the subject material.
