Demystifying Data Journals: Experiences of Data Journal Editors

Data journals are a format of publication that publish datasets or ‘data papers’ rather than conventional research articles. They offer a route to increase the visibility of research data outputs whilst also rewarding creators with a peer-reviewed publication, credit, and increased opportunity for citation. This webinar explored publishing in Data Journals, featuring the perspectives of four data journal editors.

This event brought together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and system leaders from across health, education, local government, and the voluntary sector. The day was designed to be collaborative and practical where the meeting was devised to examine real evidence, learn from current practice across the North of England and beyond, and jointly shape what should happen next.
