N8 CIR UK Biobank Seminar Series
In June 2021 N8 CIR organised and hosted a series of seminars highlighting how researchers accessed and utilised UK Biobank data in their research.


Internships
The N8 CIR is pleased that we can offer internships to allow undergraduate students to develop their computational skills in a research environment


N8CIR Internships 2025
We funded 22 8-week long summer internships to promote computational research to undergraduates across the N8 partnership that align with our three themes: Digital Health, Digital Humanities, and Machine Learning.

Maddison Willetts
Maddison is studying English Language and Literature at the University of Leeds.


Mysha Zaman
Mysha Zaman is a second-year undergraduate studying for a BSc Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Leeds. She has a strong interest in mental health and is keen to better understand the challenges faced by individuals in mental health settings.


Zain Safdar
Zain gained a first class honours BSs in computer science form Newcastle University in 2025. He worked on the N8 CIR summer Internship during the summer before starting an MSc in artificial intelligence at the University of Edinburgh in September.


Daniela Sanaicela Perez
Daniela is studying Computer Science, with a year in industry, at Newcastle University.


Samuel Waugh
Samuel graduated with a first class honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Durham. He completed this project following graduation.


Will Cook
Will Cook is a third year undergraduate studying computer science at Lancaster University. He is interested in technology and its practical application in the real world. Will enjoys solving problems in a logical and structured way.
