N8 CIR Machine Learning - Liverpool

Machine Learning lies at the core of modern data processing models. If you are already working in machine learning, or would like to integrate it into your research, join this event to contribute to our new community.

Online Event
9 Feb 2022 10 a.m. — 11 a.m.

Overview

Machine Learning (ML) has been selected as a priority theme for N8 CIR. We are aware that various pockets of expertise in machine learning exist both within our university and across the N8 universities. In addition, use of ML has accelerated in all disciplines with the advent of ready-to-use libraries and software.

We will be holding an online workshop on 9th of February (10-11 am) for researchers and PGRs involved (or interested in becoming involved) in ML research and/or use.

Your input at this workshop will help to identify key opportunities where N8 CIR could help to accelerate progress within that theme. The session will be interactive with all attendees encouraged to contribute their ideas and thoughts through an online Post-it note app.

N8 CIR will use the skills and expertise of research software and infrastructure engineers (RSEs / RIEs) already working within the N8 to resolve identified bottlenecks and challenges faced by researchers aiming to target these research opportunities.

Registration

This event is only open to those working or studying at the University of Liverpool. Please register using your academic (.ac.uk) e-mail address to help confirm your eligibility.

Similar events will be organised at each of the N8 Universities.
