N8 RSE Leaders and Aspiring Leaders Meeting

A one-day meeting to look at similarities, challenges and opportunities for research software engineering groups across the N8 Research Partnership.

University of Leeds, Maurice Keyworth Building, Room SR 1.31
30 Jan 2020 10:30 a.m. — 4 p.m.

The meeting will be attended by RSE group leaders from each of the N8 institutions. Individual RSEs are also welcome to attend, especially those who may be interested in managing an RSE group in the future. Places are strictly limited and priority will be given to those who register early.

Also speaking at the meeting will be Simon Hettrick from the University of Southampton, and a Founding Trustee of the Society of Research Software Engineering. He will be talking about his work with the Society and the ongoing importance of raising the profile and awareness of the contribution made by research software engineers to science and research. He will also speak about the Software in Research survey and how it can be used to build on the good work already done.

If the event is over-subscribed then it may be necessary to limit the number of RSEs per institution.

This event is only open to those working or studying at one of the N8 institutions.
