In February and March 2022, five teams will be participating in the UK National GPU Hackathon.
N8 CIR’s GPU-accelerated high-performance computing platform Bede has been selected as one of the machines that will be used by teams for the event. In addition, some of the Bede RSEs will be available on the hackathon’s Slack channel to offer advice and support to the five teams.
Hackathons like this one provide researchers and teams with unique opportunities to access high-performance computing platforms to accelerate and optimise their code.
Teams are supported throughout the event by experienced GPU programmers and mentors from industry and academia as they learn and apply parallel computing skills to their projects.
This year’s event is a partnership between UKRI, NVIDIA and openacc.org
