Intro Events for the 2019 Academic Year

Want to find out more about the N8 Centre of Excellence in Computationally Intensive Research, what we do and what we can offer researchers across N8?

The new academic year gives N8CIR the opportunity to make new friends and reconnect with old ones.

Throughout November we have organised a series of what we are calling 'Intro Events.' They are more than this, they are a chance for researchers, especially those working in Digital Humanities and Digital Health, to find out how the use of computationally intensive research (CIR) can accelerate work and discovery.

Many of the events are centred around an included lunch with a dedicated session for Digital Health or Digital Humanities either side. This means there's an added bonus to joining a session, not the free lunch, but the chance to meet with researchers in other areas who may have interesting ideas for approaches or collaboration that you hadn't previously considered.
