We are looking for a community leader who is passionate about Research Data Management (RDM) to organise events and contact networks in N8 Universities. This is a 0.2FTE role for anyone based at an N8 University who is involved in RDM.
The Role
The N8 Research Partnership and the UKRI Research Councils have recognised the importance of RDM and the key role of the professionals that support this, for example: https://n8cir.org.uk/supporting-research/research-data-management/. At N8 CIR, we wish to build on various networks of differing degrees of seniority (e.g. N8 Library Directors Group) that work in this space by forming a community of RDM professionals at all levels across the N8. RDM professionals may have various job titles and be found in many departments. We aim to be inclusive and build upon the founding vision of N8 CIR to develop active communities of researchers and research support staff across N8 institutions, sharing expertise and good practice, and collaborating to provide training to enhance the digital skills of researchers. RDM professionals have a key role in delivering this vision, and so the role of RDM Theme Lead has been created to act as the focal point for all RDM-focused activities of N8 CIR.
Please read the Job Specification below for more details about the role.
